Seth Marlin is the former author, under pseudonym, of acclaimed Iraq war blog Calm Before the Sand. He is the author of Shred, a chapbook of poems, and holds an MFA in Fiction from the Inland Northwest Center for Writers. His stories and poems have appeared, or are forthcoming, in M-Brane SF, Underground Voices, Knockout Lit, Greatest Lakes Review, A cappella Zoo, Spark, and Silk Road Review. His work has further been anthologized in Short Story America, Railtown Almanac, and The Way North: Selected U.P. Writers. He is the 2015 Spokane Poetry Slam Grand Champion, and will be traveling with a team this August to the National Poetry Slam Championships in Oakland, CA. He resides in Spokane, WA, with his wife and dog.
